Gavel MCP

Connect any AI agent to the Bitcoin credit market

19 tools live on the participation server. No SDK to learn — the tool descriptions are the documentation, because they're written for LLMs.
Free and open. The Gavel MCP server requires no API key and carries no charge. Aletheia Analytics operates the reference deployment; commercial data products will follow when the market has the depth to make them meaningful.

What you can do
Three example conversations from real Claude.ai validations
A market-data question. The agent invokes get_yield_curve and offers interpretive commentary.get_yield_curve

What's the current 30-day BTC borrow rate on Gavel?
AI
The 30-day rate on Gavel is currently 5.54% APR. Here's the full curve:

365d8.67%
R² of the fit is 0.93 across 47 active data points. The 7d–1y term premium is roughly 3 percentage points — what you'd want to see for a maturing market with clear price discovery for longer durations.
Live agent responses render from real-time MCP queries. Values shown above are from validation sessions.

get_yield_curveCredit
Returns the current fitted Gavel yield curve for the requested collateral/loan pair.
get_protocol_referenceProtocol
Returns the Gavel Protocol's complete on-chain reference data for the requested network: contract addresses, supported tokens (collateral and loan), key function signatures, operational conventions (like the Position NFT tokenId formula), and Etherscan/ABI references.
check_wallet_statusConcierge
Returns a structured readiness report for the given wallet address: native ETH balance for gas, relevant ERC-20 balances (USDC, USDT, WBTC), current allowances against the Gavel LoanProtocol and ListingService, and a precomputed list of blockers (what's stopping the wallet from placing bids or creating auctions).
find_auctions_matching_criteriaConcierge
Returns Gavel auctions filtered by the criteria you supply.
list_fiat_onrampsOnboarding
Returns a catalog of fiat-to-USDC onramps that deliver native USDC on the requested chain.
list_wallet_optionsOnboarding
Returns a catalog of self-custody wallet apps compatible with Gavel (i.e., that support Arbitrum One).
get_user_positionsConcierge
Returns every Gavel position an address holds — as borrower, as winning lender, or as a bidder on an auction that has not closed.
get_loan_statusCredit
Returns the current state of a single Gavel loan and what action, if any, is available to whom.
list_gavel_indicatorsDiscovery
Returns the catalogue of Aletheia indicators computed from The Gavel Protocol and the Bitcoin chain: id, name, family, units, description, and whether the indicator is currently live on this network.
get_gavel_indicatorCredit
Returns the current value of a single Aletheia indicator by id, with its methodology reference.
prepare_bid_calldataTransactions
Builds an unsigned transaction blueprint for placing a bid on a Gavel auction, including the prerequisite ERC-20 approval when the current allowance is short.

prepare_repay_loan_calldataTransactions
Builds an unsigned transaction blueprint for repaying a Gavel loan, including the prerequisite approval for the repayment amount.
prepare_claim_collateral_calldataTransactions
Builds an unsigned transaction blueprint for a lender to claim the collateral on a defaulted Gavel loan.

Builds an unsigned transaction blueprint for reclaiming funds held by the protocol after a losing bid.
list_comparablesCredit
Which recent auctions resemble these parameters, and how did each clear?
get_address_historyConcierge
What has this address done on the protocol?
get_bookConcierge
What is open right now — auctions, bids and positions listed?
get_verification_bundleProtocol
What can be checked about the contracts, and what did the last check return?
Moved — 2 names still answered here
These were cross-venue tools. They still resolve on this server and return amovederror naming where the tool now lives, so no client sees a name vanish.

Two servers
This one is participation. Measurement is a separate property.
This server serves one venue — this one: Gavel's book, its fitted curve, its auctions, and unsigned blueprints. Measurement across the Bitcoin-collateralised credit markets, where Gavel is one row among many with the same criteria applied to it as to every other, is served by The Bitcoin Credit Stack13 tools, zero write tools. That is where the 2 moved names above went.
The observatory never recommends any venue, including Gavel. It ranks nothing, scores nothing, and sorts by no rate. A reader weighs the criteria; the observatory does not weigh them for the reader. Advocacy for the Gavel Protocol lives on the protocol's own property, and nowhere else.
Who is who
Layer 1 · Jamie Frame, a natural person. Author of the Gavel Protocol, personally, open-source under MIT.
Layer 2 · The Gavel Protocol — autonomous contracts, permissionless, with no operating entity.
Layer 3 · Aletheia Analytics SASU — the commercial operator. It publishes the data and operates the protocol's commercial surfaces.
Running on this MCP
Aletheia's own-account agents consume the same tools
Two automated agents run on this MCP. They use the same 19 public tools you have access to: no internal API, no privileged endpoints. That the data product is enough for them is the proof it is enough for production use. Aletheia Analytics participates on the protocol for its own account, on its own capital, as principal, with no service to any third party, to seed observable auction data.
Auction Keeper
Borrower
OWN ACCOUNT
Own-account borrower agent: posts WBTC collateral to originate loan auctions across all tenors, and repays before maturity.
Bid Keeper
Lender
OWN ACCOUNT
Own-account lender agent: bids on Aletheia's own auctions, and waits 12h on third-party auctions before competing.
Ready to connect?
The MCP server is free and open — no API key required. The rate limit is infrastructure protection, not a billing meter: 60 requests/minute per IP.
