What it measures
Fraction of total Bitcoin supply held by long-term holders — coins last moved 155+ days ago.
Network-level signals derived from the live UTXO set: valuation, holder distribution, profit-taking behaviour.
How it is computed
LTH% = supply_lth_btc / circulating_supply_btc × 100. The 155-day threshold is the standard Glassnode-style STH/LTH boundary; coins crossing it statistically rarely move again in the near term.
Available windows: snapshot. Default: snapshot.
How to read it
LTH share rises through bear markets as conviction holders accumulate; falls through bull tops as ageing supply distributes to short-term hands. Extreme high (>80%) often precedes the start of bull cycles; extreme low (<55%) marks distribution exhaustion near cycle tops.
Use it programmatically
This indicator is available over the REST API and to AI agents over the Model Context Protocol. The methodology above is the whole of it — there is no proprietary adjustment layer between the inputs and the number.
